The 9 step process for Mind-Less Meditation

Here’s the lead up I use in my meditation classes and the live stream to achieve a successful meditation experience

If you’re feeling particularly anxious or irritated it’s worth going through the nine step warm up and getting all the toxic build up out of your body and mind so that by the time you reach the guided sound track you can effortlessly sink in to a deeply relaxed receptive state.

1

Fire the itty bitty committee and splat the pity pie. Breathe it out – Huh!

Our minds are full of unresolved issues and a kaleidoscope of fears and limiting beliefs. When we’re ready to let go of our stuff we create scenarios in our theatre production called life that bring these issues to the surface where we have the opportunity to either suppress them, create a huge drama, or release them. The first thing to do is really indulge in the itty bitty committee for a while, wallowing in pity pie. It feels great to have a good bitch and moan, until we get bored, and we’re ready to fire the committee and imaging splatting the pity pie (not the person) very hard against a wall. Put all the negative limiting thoughts (yep, that’s all they are…just thoughts) in to the pie, make the ‘huh!’ sound with your breath, and  thwack! as hard as you can. Do this as many times as is necessary to stir the emotions up, and get all the energy moving in your system.

2

Shake like no ones watching. Get it out of your body

Now that all the sludgy dense energy is shaken up in our bodies we need to release it. Our bodies can hold a mega load of tension and toxicity in our muscles, and our organs so shaking is a great way to get it out. If left unchecked the body turns this chronic unchecked toxic energy in to physical illness. Ratu Bagus is a guru in Bali who shows people how to use shaking meditation to heal physical ailments. Going ‘Huh!’ and shaking at the same time – What a great way to get the crap out!

3

Balancing bones and find the sweet spot

Now if we find a comfortable position, on a chair or on a cushion on the floor, sitting slightly forward on our bones, we’ll be able to find the sweet spot. Rocking slightly from left to right and front to back will help. This is where our bones are effortlessly balancing on top of each other. Imaging putting a child’s building blocks one on top of the other. This then allows the muscles to relax, the blood, energy and lymphatics to flow unencumbered, and allows space for the organs to regenerate.

4

Witness inside and be in the moment

In stillness we have a chance to be the witness to what’s going on inside our bodies. After all that shaking we’ll feel the blood still coursing through our veins, we’ll probably notice our heart’s beating faster than usBody awarenessual. Focusing on ourselves internally gets us out of our heads and brings us into this moment now. The most powerful place to be. This is where we access our emotional resilience and stop being at the mercy of others behaviour.

Be your B.E.S.T.

I encourage you to use this technique not just in this sequence but in every day interactions in your daily lives. It’s a great habit to form because it gets us in to the high vibration of love, and out of our human experience. We then act and speak from our hearts, and when it comes from love we can never fail. First we love ourselves then everything flows from there.

B stands for Breath

Take a breath in to the energy centre to relax and stabilise ourselves.

stands for Eyes

Focus on a spot higher than your line of vision and then, without moving your eyes, use your peripheral vision to look around to your left and then to your right. This gets us out of our reactive conscious mind and into the subconscious. After practicing this a few times it’s easy to do left and right simultaneously like opening a fan.

stands for Surrender

Observe how we grip on to our issues like a starving dog with a bone. Let go of opinions and resistance and let the loving unity of all that is take care of the situation for us.

stands for Truth

The truth is always love. Anything that’s not love is an illusion. Take the elevator down from your head and breath in to your heart. Observe the energy flowing  and ask what would love say/do/be? Can we turn defensive in to defenceless? Feeling compassion and forgiving ourselves first for holding on to and believing in a negative situation or people, changes the perspective and allows us to forgive others.

Making the B.E.S.T. technique a habit accelerates you to living a life in love.

7

Reprogramme the mind

Find ‘the sweet spot’ again and sit either on a cushion or in a chair. It’s best not to lie down though because it’s easy to fall asleep. We want energy to be able to travel up and down our spines.

All we have to do now is lidrjoesten to the appropriate guided Mind-less meditation and follow the suggestions for what ever it is we’re working on. If we were hooked up to an encephalograph we’d see our minds reprogramming as the old negatively charged patterns of neurones die off and release from the synapses and new positively charged neurones attach themselves. (As seen in Dr Joe Dispenza’s research).

8

Feel the love

Give yourself credit for taking the time to work on yourself. Practicing self care is the best thing we can do and shows that you love yourself so indulge and feel grateful! If we want to create a more loving and peaceful world we need to start from inside ourselves.

9

Live it!!

laotzo_wheniletgo

Take steps and make the changes. Anything can be achieved through love. Creativity and the energy that comes from being inspired catapults us in to motivation and consequently action. Even if you’re unsure of your soul’s purpose, trusting that everything you do is leading you towards your purpose is perfect for now. Happiness and peace is the number one goal and gets you in the flow. When things aren’t working properly and you’re really working hard for what seems like a lot of stress and frustration it’s because you’re out of the flow. Continually stopping and re assessing will get you back in harmony with your purpose. Ask yourself ‘can I cultivate happiness and express love in what I’m doing now?’ And a very important question is, ‘How am I serving humanity?’ Being of service is the most gratifying thing any human being can do. If the answer’s no to both these questions then it’s time to be more accepting or create change.

Eckhart Tolle says you need either one, or a combination of these three things to be happy. Joyfulness, enthusiasm and/or acceptance. If you have none of these then it’s definitely time to create change.
